A few days ago, on Tuesday night: Hurricane Sandy hit New York City and surrounding areas, especially NJ, hard. Her wrath was felt all over the east coast and left lower Manhattan without power, shut down trains, ruined coastal areas, caused blazing fires and left 7 million plus people without electricity and running water.
My family and I were very lucky to have no damage to our apartment and our neighborhood. I cannot say that for the rest of the people suffering in New York and my heart goes out to them.
New York is recovering and so am I. October was a whirlwind of a month!
I'm taking November to give some time for myself to reflect and relax a little bit. Spend time with family and friends that I have missed <3 And to work silently. I think that's important.
On hiatus now for a little bit for Ikenhisu II. I am training in the double sword that Masami predominantly uses in her fight scenes as her weapon of choice. It's been a challenge getting my left side and my right side to work in sync! I'm learning how to be ambidextrous and trying to do more activities with my left hand to facilitate my progress.
Next up is S.E.A.L.S, once everyone recovers from the storm, we will try and schedule a shoot date for one of the first scenes of S.E.A.L.S Episode 2.
In the meantime, there is an interview out of myself and 2 of the girls from Ikenhisu II on Blip TV. It's called Indie Action Showcase. I will post it up on my video wall later when I receive the embed link.
But, here is the link to it now: http://blip.tv/indie-action-showcase/indie-action-showcase-epsd-7-ikenhisu-ll-6423308 (copy and paste into your browser)
The Secret Vortex also wrote an article about NYC Comic Con 2012. It features myself and Laura from Ikenhisu II and S.E.A.L.S - It's a great article and encompasses the excitement of Comic Con very well.
